Between Young Poland, Skamander and the Avant-garde.
Women Writing Poetry in Interwar Poland
University of Szczecin
Szczecin 2024
Description
The monograph is devoted to Polish women poets of the interwar period who either function on the margins of Polish bibliographies, literary encyclopaedias and university textbooks, or are absent from them altogether.
The book is divided into seven chapters, each of which can be read as a separate synthesis of further issues: the history of the concept of women's literature, the political and social context of literature written by women in the first decades of the 20th century, the ways in which female poets functioned in collective works and in interwar literary life.
